Delete your account

You can delete your Game Set Engage account at any time, from the app or by asking us. Here's how, and exactly what happens to your data.

If you're a fan with the app

Open the Game Set Engage app and go to Profile → Delete account. You'll be asked for your password to confirm it's you, and the account is deleted straight away. You'll be signed out on that device.

If you can't use the app

That includes fans who've uninstalled it, and club and venue accounts — the in-app delete button is on the fan app only, so there's nothing to press on the dashboard. Email privacy@gamesetengage.com from the address on the account and tell us you want it deleted.

Please send it from the account's own email address so we can be sure it's you — if you can't, we'll ask you a couple of questions to verify ownership before we delete anything. We'll respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

  • Your name, email address and password
  • Your profile photo and profile details
  • Your club subscriptions
  • Your notifications and the devices registered for push
  • The IP address and sign-in record we kept on your account

Your email address is released, so it can be used to sign up again later if you ever want to come back. Deleting your account signs out every device that was using it.

Some records we keep (below) were written with the location, device and IP address the request came from at the time. That detail stays attached to the record.

What we keep, and why

Records that other people's records are built on stay in the system: a campaign you took part in, a check-in confirmed at a venue, an offer you redeemed. A venue's invoice to a club, and a club's own statistics for the season, are built from them — removing them outright would rewrite somebody else's billing records.

What changes is that they no longer lead back to a person. The account they belong to holds no name, no email address and no profile once we've scrubbed it; a club sees a deleted account, not you.
